Forest Study
One of the most amazing characteristics of the trees surrounding the Hoh Rainforest campground in the Olympic National Park in Washington are the generational layers of life, and the intricate root systems that bind each new generation to the life force of the fallen prior. Some trees appear to be walking as their original nurse logs have disintegrated completely. This tree had such a robust web of roots enveloping its nurse log, I enjoyed studying it.
This is an 11” x 14” print reproduction of an original oil painting. It is printed in giclee ink on archival, textured paper, ready for framing.
